Ice Floe, LLC dba Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB) is a subsidiary of Ice Cap Holding, LCC and sister company to Everett Ship Repair, LLC; Shared Ice Services, LLC; and Everett Floating Structures, LLC. NBBB was established in 1964 with acquisition by Ice Cap in 2008. Together the sister-companies offer a complete shipbuilding experience; with Nichols Brothers Boat Builders extensive new-build experience; and ESR’s vast ship repair capabilities.

Nichols Brothers Boat Builders long history began in 1964 in Freeland, Washington on Whidbey Island, founded by the late Frank Nichols after leaving his Father’s Boatyard - Nichols Boat Works - in Hood River, Oregon. Frank stuck with what he knew, boat building, and found that Whidbey Island offered people who valued an honest living, were accustomed to working hard, and had a passion for quality craftmanship. With a team of men and women Nichols Brothers Boat Builders began.
