Barbara Holland

General Counsel

Ms. Holland is an experienced maritime lawyer who has spent decades working alongside the national and international maritime industry.  After several years as the company’s outside legal counsel, Ms. Holland joined the company’s Executive team as General Counsel to the shipyards and their affiliates.  As General Counsel, she manages the company’s legal affairs and provides leadership and support to the Executive team with respect to the legal and risk management issues impacting the implementation of the company’s strategic objectives.  Previously, Ms. Holland headed the maritime practice at Seattle-based law firm Garvey Schubert Barer for over 30 years. In addition to acting as General Counsel to the company, she is a maritime law partner at Collier Walsh Nakazawa, LLP.  Ms. Holland received her law degree from Harvard Law School.  She has been an active participant in professional and industry organizations, and is currently serving as President of the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
