The Steilacoom II was built as a sister-ship vessel to the Christine Anderson, which also built by Nichols Brothers in 1994. The two vessels service commuters between Steilacoom and Anderson and Ketron Islands. The Steilacoom II will replace the original Steilacoom which will be retired from service and sold. The Steilacoom II will be the largest vessel for this crossing. The vessel can carry up to 54 cars and 299 passengers.
